Electronic Forms Questions & Answers

What happens if I'm completing a form on my smartphone and I lose my signal?
Don't worry! We've designed the forms to function both online and offline. So, if you lose your connection you'll see an alert on the screen to let you know that you're working offline but you can complete the form as normal, and once your phone reconnects to the Internet the data will be uploaded automatically. Just to clarify, you can complete many forms whilst offline - they'll all upload once a connection has been made.

Can rules be applied to forms? (because one of my business problems is that people often don't complete the forms correctly)
Yes, we have data validation, required field types, no missing data controls.... In fact, a yagmap form cannot be sent until all the rules have been satisfied.

My business has it's own paper forms that we want to put onto yagmap; can we do this and how do we go about it?

Can I have my logo appear on yagmap forms?
Yes!

You mention 'suite of forms'. What does this mean?
It means that each user can have access to many different forms each for a different purpose. You could have all your business forms on yagmap available for access by your team.

Is there a limit to the number of respondents/field agents/user accounts my business can have?
No, there is no limit and you can have as many as you need.

Group Messaging Questions & Answers

How many groups can I have and how many people can I have in a group?
You can have as many groups as you like and you can have as many or as few people in the group as you like (even just yourself if necessary!).

How do people get invited to join the group?
When you create the group, you will be asked to enter their email address or select existing yagmap contacts. Yagmap will automatically send them an invitation email allowing them to accept or decline the invitation.

Can I create personal groups and invite my friends to join them?
Yes, you can. Whilst yagmap is designed around business needs, there is nothing stopping you from using yagmap for personal use allowing you to have private and secure conversations with your friends.

Can I invite more people to a group at a later date?
Yes you can, just go to 'Manage Groups'. Anyone new joining will be able to see all messages since the group began not just from when they joined.

If I invite people to a group can people not-invited join the group?
Only the people you invite can join the group.

Can people not invited see that the group exists?
No. The group name is only visible to those who have been invited and joined the group.

If I send a message, can anyone outside of the group see the message?
No. The messages are only visible to those who have joined the group.

If I remove someone from the group, can they still see the messages?
If you are the group owner and remove someone from the group, they will no longer have access to the group or its messages. In fact, the group name will cease to appear on their group list.

Will my messages be shown on Facebook, Twitter etc.?
Yagmap messages can only be viewed with yagmap.

Can my group members invite other people to a group I own?
No, they can't. If you are the group owner then only you can invite new members.

Can friends of friends have access to the group or see the messages?
No. Only group members have access to the group.

Where is my data held?
Our datacentre is based in the UK. We are a company registered in England and Wales, with no parent company so adhere to UK and European data protection regulations. As such, we are not beholden to the US Patriot Act so the US government cannot subpoena us for your data.

Can I use yagmap on my smartphone?
Yes, you can. We have created special mobile formatted pages so that you can use your mobile browser to access yagmap. Just browse to www.yagmap.com from your smartphone and it will be automatically redirected to the mobile site.

Yes, providing you have access to an internet connection.

You can log in on multiple devices. For example you can log in on your laptop, tablet and smartphone and use all three if you so choose.
